Wow….seriously, WOW! So many responses already, I’m in awe!  To everyone who has placed their Answer/Vote, thank you very much.  I’ve been keeping track of the responses so far, and I am impressed by not only your responses, but also the reasons a number of you added to explain why you chose what you chose. This has really made my day. 

Also, thanks to everyone who has reblogged my Audience Participation post.  I’d like word to get out and hear from as many as I can before June 1st.  

On a side note, I’m sorry for being slow with the blog itself and will try to catch up ASAP, now that I’m not taking classes for the summer. I’ve got a back log of 83 questions, some of which are from the very beginning of the blog. Many of these questions can be grouped together, and I assure you, that both history and paternity questions will be continued and answered as soon as I can.

Also, I’m gonna try to edit the look of the blog a little. Hopefully I won’t accidently destroy it- I’m not an HTML editor. Any suggestions?

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION!

You, my friends, aquaintances, and total strangers are the ones who make “Ask Nightmother Moon run with your questions….Now, I ask you to make a more direct push in the blog.  I would like each and every one of you watching this blog to send me an answer to the following question:

What should Nightmother Moon do with/to the changeling foal?

Anything from adopting it,  to destroying it, to all points inbetween is allowed.  Please one answer per person.  If you change your mind, make sure to add that to your statement.  whatever answer gets the majority or at least the plurality of consensus will be used in the Ask Nightmother Moon blog.  If two answers get the same number of responses, I will hold a tie-breaker vote.  Thank you for taking part of this. For the 8+ people who sent me anon notes, yes I’m still alive, yes, i’m still doing the tumblr, and yes, I know I’ve made you all wait too long.

I’d like to apologize for the lateness of the special announcement.  My schedule has beenc changed so I didn’t get the day off I was going to use to get it drawn up

A….a foal? Could this be true?

Back then, this one changeling’s size seemed trivial. They had invaded the redoubt, took over the identities of some well-loved residents. The damaged they caused was immense- especially when they were discovered- ponies started suspecting each other, accusations were leveled, the morale sunk, and it took a thorough scanning of each individual by a known telepath to finally set things to recovery…and we never did find those the changelings assumed the forms of. Those creatures nearly destroyed the redoubt with their presence.  

I can still remember this one, begging for its life after the other 3 were destroyed by the angry mob, whom I didn’t stop.  I remember glaring down at this small figure, smirking as an idea came to my head.  ”I spare you.”  I said, then cast the spell, surrounding it in a green crystal sphere, putting it in stasis, time standing still.

Now all I see is a terrified foal that I mocked, that I trapped, that I kept as a trophy.  Merciful creators, what have I done?

Why must everyone be so irritating today?! You weren’t irritating yesterday, so why now?

And where are my lychees?!

Aside from the redoubt, I recommend the tomb of Healing Edge the Surgeon, in what is now called the Rose Desert.  It is considered to be haunted by the locals, who shun the place- which is a good thing since it is also a repository for supplies, as well as an archive of medical knowledge that the brilliant and unfortunately insane doctor collected. I will provide you the information to get past the tomb’s security measures- I know you and trust you enough to keep such information secret.

I occasionally feel the pulling of forces beyond my understanding. As it is though, I have a more heightened feeling of anxiousness.  I have so much more to protect….and so much more to lose if I am not careful.
